Account Manager (South Africa)

Location: Remote (South Africa)
Work model: Remote (can be based anywhere in South Africa). Need to be able to legally work in SA to be considered.
Salary: R36 000 – R55 000 CTC (depending on level of experience)

Around two decades in, they're growing fast — over 55% since the start of the year — and are looking for a South Africa-based Account Manager to join their UK team and help manage that growth. What the job involves:

• Managing a portfolio of 75–100 smaller school and trust accounts, mostly by phone and email
• Building trusted relationships with key contacts and stakeholders across your accounts
• Helping customers get the most value out of the platform, and keeping an eye on engagement and satisfaction
• Spotting opportunities to grow existing accounts and introduce additional products or services
• Keeping CRM records accurate, and reporting regularly on your portfolio
• Working closely with support, product, sales and finance to get the best outcomes for customers
• Contributing to the team's LinkedIn presence as part of their wider outreach
• Using AI tools comfortably as part of your day-to-day work

What you need to be considered:

• Previous experience in account management, customer success, or another client-facing relationship role — any industry considered, backgrounds in advertising or marketing are especially welcome
• Excellent written communication — many customers prefer email over calls, so this needs to build trust on its own
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle a high volume of relationships at once
• Comfortable working independently within a remote team
• A proactive, personable approach to problem-solving
• Confidence using AI tools
• An active, professional LinkedIn presence
• Must be legally able to work in South Africa

Bonus points if you:

• Have experience in education, edtech, or with multi-site organisations
• Have supported customer renewals, retention or account growth before
• Have project management experience
• Are confident presenting to clients online
• Have used Google Workspace
