We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) who is driven, energetic, and growth-oriented to join the organisation in a senior capacity. The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening the Technical Accounting, Financial Statements, Independent Reviews, and Forensic Reporting function, while also supporting broader accounting and tax engagements.This role requires a strong understanding of IFRS, an analytical approach to financial data, and the ability to clearly communicate complex findings to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly management accounts, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for client engagements.

  • Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements, including compilations, independent reviews, and due diligence assignments.

  • Provide expert accounting support to clients, including reviewing accounting policies, complex reconciliations, and statutory reporting.

  • Prepare comprehensive forensic accounting reports by analysing financial data, investigating matters, and quantifying financial losses.

  • Produce objective, verifiable reports with supporting documentation and calculations suitable for litigation support or regulatory submissions.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong professional relationships and managing expectations.

  • Present and explain financial statements, monthly reports, and forensic findings clearly to clients.

  • Ensure client compliance with all relevant statutory and reporting requirements, including CIPC, SARS, and applicable legislation.

  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior staff, supporting development in IFRS, forensic accounting, audit, and accounting.

  • Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities to expand forensic and accounting service offerings.

Requirements 

  • Matric with Mathematics and English (Higher Grade)

  • BCom Accounting Degree

  • Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) designation, registered with SAICA

  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience

  • Proven experience in audit, financial statement preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping

  • Forensic accounting experience will be advantageous

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, accounting principles, the Companies Act, financial systems, audit principles, and analytical reviews

  • Proficiency in accounting and audit software (e.g. Xero, Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, Greatsoft)

  • Strong report writing and documentation skills suitable for legal and regulatory environments

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly

  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience, including mentoring junior staff

  • High ethical standards, integrity, and professional scepticism

  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously

  • Strong client-service orientation
