Application Solutions Specialist

A leading mining company is looking for a Applications Solutions Specialist to join their team in Johannesburg, GP. 

Responsibilities: 

• Work with users to formulate and document business requirements.

• Analyze business requirements in terms of solution scope, feasibility, and impact.

• Develop functional specifications for use by system developers.

• Participate in solution design to ensure alignment with business requirements.

• Create, adopt, and implement system test plans.

• Participate in, sign off on, and review UAT test cases.

• Create user and training documentation and conduct training classes.

• Ensure acceptable quality and integrity of the system.

• Identify, investigate, and analyze business processes.

• Ensure operational integrity and escalate process issues/concerns.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of system integration tools and technologies, including the ability to design, implement, and manage integrations across various systems.

• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities to ensure all goals are accomplished.

• Develop project plans including milestones, strategy, scheduling, risk identification, contingency plans, and resource allocation.

• Prepare project status reports and keep all stakeholders informed.

• Direct the activities of project personnel to ensure projects stay on schedule.

Requirements: 

• Relevant qualification in a related field.

• Experience in a project management role.

• At least 5 years of experience in an IT ERP environment.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with various stakeholders across the business.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for sharing operational ideas and technical knowledge.

• Knowledge of and experience with JD Edwards, Planning & Analytics (TM1), Maximo, Perceptive Content preferred.

• Knowledge of business functional areas such as sales, finance, procurement, logistics, maintenance, AR, and AP.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure, operate independently, and meet deadlines with strong time management and prioritization skills
