Architectural Specifier (Sales) (Midrand)

Job description

A leading precast concrete manufacturer looking for an Architectural Specifier to drive product specifications in commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. A successful candidate will have to demonstrate the following:

1. Develop a big picture view on the market – key market channels, projects, accounts, competitors, stakeholders etc
2. Build relationships with key accounts (architects), other design professionals and stakeholders
3. Understand customer requirements and link this the relevant product 
4. Develop a strong understanding of precast products, the applicable standards, applications and design trends
5. Communicate new opportunities in appropriate forums and link to the structure of the sales team
6. Provide necessary reports and project information using a CRM system

Past experience:

1. 5-10 years in sales, marketing or the built environment 
2. Dealing with SANS standards in their relation to conceptual use and product
3. Establishing a network of professional contacts
4. Project Management which aligns to clear contractual terms
5. Knowledge and use of CRM systems

Own vehicle and valid drivers licence required.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in marketing or in the Built Environment is preferred
• Logical thinking and reasoning in approach to problems
• Work at a conceptual level with the client/customer
• Professional communication skills
• Technical sales skills/overcoming objections
• Project management
• Computer literate – MS Office, CRM, CAD Systems (optional)
