Job description

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To fill a vacancy and be responsible for teaching & learning, research and community engagement in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Curriculum studies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teaching Undergraduate Modules.
Teaching and Supervision: Postgraduate.
Research Publications.
Community Service.
Study Guide and Material Development.
Support of Research Entity.
Initiating and Planning of Strategic Research Initiatives.

Minimum requirements
A PhD in Curriculum Studies (NQF level 10).
A minimum of five (5) years experience in higher education.
Have a proven and comprehensive teaching and research experience in higher education.
Author of at least 5 articles/books/chapters in the field since 2020.
Supervision of at least 2 Med students and 1 PhD student to completion.
Functional / Technical Competencies (Knowledge and Skills)
Have a proven record of presenting at/attending relevant national and international conferences.
Demonstrate leadership in the field.
Involvement in teaching and/or research activities at community level.
Record of national and international networking, collaboration, and recognition.

Behavioural Competencies
Team worker.
Good interpersonal relations.

Remuneration:
