Chief Rock Engineer

Hire Resolve’s Client, a reputable mining company in the Northern Cape, is currently looking for an experienced Chief Rock Engineer to join their mining team. 

:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related field.

• Rock Engineering Certificate issued by the Chamber of Mines.

• Between 5 and 10 years of relevant experience in a geotechnical operational role, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity focused on open-pit geological operations.

• Experience in an opencast mining environment, with strong skills in slope design and modelling, implementation of slope monitoring systems, and ground control.

• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and lead teams to meet performance targets.

• Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and reporting abilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Must hold a valid Code B driver’s license and be medically fit to work.
