About the Youth Employment Programme

The Clicks Youth Employment Programme is designed to help unemployed youth gain workplace experience in the retail industry.

The programme includes:

  • Classroom learning

  • Practical workplace training in Clicks stores

  • Customer service and retail operations training

After successfully completing the programme, participants will receive a NQF Level 2 Checkout Operator occupational qualification.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • South African citizen

  • Age between 18 and 29 years

  • Must have Matric (Grade 12)

  • Must be unemployed

  • Must not currently be registered for another learnership or skills programme

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Participants will be placed in Clicks retail stores in:

  • Pretoria

  • Johannesburg
