Job Description

TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Corporate Accountant: Consolidation within the Finance division at Pretoria, Gauteng.

Job Summary

This role involves overseeing the accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities within the Group, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. The incumbent will collaborate with various departments to collect and analyse complex financial data, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial governance of the organisation.

Responsibilities and Duties

Oversee the consolidation of financial statements in line with IFRS
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements for the Group
Coordinate with various departments to collect and analyse financial data required for consolidation
Manage and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate reporting
Prepare consolidated financial reports for senior management and key stakeholders
Perform complex financial analysis and provide variance commentary on consolidated results
Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Monitor updates to accounting standards and assess impacts on consolidation processes
Support group budgeting and forecasting from a consolidated perspective
Assist with the preparation of technical accounting papers and financial governance processes
Provide support during external audits relating to consolidations
Maintain and update consolidation models and reporting systems

Qualifications and Skills

Matric / Grade 12
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CA(SA) or equivalent qualification preferred
Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in financial consolidations or a similar role
Proven track record in managing complex consolidations
In‑depth understanding of IFRS and local accounting standards
Strong knowledge of consolidation principles and practices
Knowledge of CaseWare or similar consolidation software (advantageous)
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in accounting software and financial tools
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Valid driver’s license and willing to travel for work
