Job Description

The programme is designed to develop skilled artisans through a structured training system aligned with QCTO occupational qualifications.

Successful applicants will:

  • Receive formal training at an accredited training centre

  • Gain practical workplace experience at Venetia Mine

  • Develop technical, problem-solving, and engineering skills

  • Work towards qualifying in a specific engineering trade

Eligibility Criteria and Requirements

To qualify for this learnership, applicants must meet the following:

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics (not Maths Literacy), Physical Science, and English (minimum 40%)

  • OR N2 with relevant trade subjects

  • OR NCV Level 3 with at least 40% in required subjects

  • Must meet specific subject requirements for the chosen trade

  • Must be willing to travel for training (company transport provided)

  • Must be medically fit and able to obtain a Red Ticket

  • Must pass criminal record and qualification verification

  • Must complete psychometric and technical assessments

  • Must have good communication skills in English

  • Must be able to work independently and in a team

  • Must demonstrate strong technical and analytical ability
