Minimum Requirements

  • AET Level 4 (Standard 7 or Grade 9 report) or Grade 12

  • Minimum of six (6) months appropriate cleaning experience

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work shifts, including night duty, weekends and public holidays

  • Willingness to rotate when required

  • Honest, reliable and able to work under pressure

  • Ability to cope with the physical demands of the position

  • Problem-solving skills and initiative


Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning interior and exterior areas including bathrooms, offices, consulting rooms, passages and waiting areas

  • Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming and polishing floors

  • High dusting of walls and surfaces

  • Cleaning windows, stairs, lifts, fire escapes and medical equipment

  • Washing cupboards, fridges, microwaves and dustbins

  • Assisting with laundry duties

  • Cleaning spillages and assisting with decontamination and disinfection

  • Removing general and medical waste according to Infection Prevention and Control guidelines

  • Serving meals and washing utensils

  • Performing additional duties as delegated by the supervisor
