Job description
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys working across multiple datasets, spotting patterns that others may miss, and making information clear through reporting, dashboards and visual storytelling. You will play an important role in turning performance data into practical recommendations for clients and agency teams.
What you’ll do:
- Collect, clean, validate and analyse data from a wide range of sources, including websites, mobile apps, e-commerce platforms, social media, media reports, advertising channels, consumer data and market-trends platforms.
- Apply robust data-quality and governance practices to ensure reporting is accurate, consistent and reliable.
- Interrogate campaign, channel, consumer and category datasets to identify trends, correlations, performance drivers and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop clear reports, visualisations, charts, dashboards and data stories that support decision-making across strategy, client service, creative and digital teams.
- Translate analysis into concise, commercially relevant insights and actionable strategic recommendations.
- Support the development of post-campaign analyses against agreed campaign objectives, KPIs and briefing parameters.
- Produce regular channel and campaign-performance reports, highlighting key metrics, trends, learnings and optimisation opportunities.
- Maintain consistency across reporting templates, data definitions and deliverables.
- Research new analytics approaches, data sources, tools, industry trends and relevant thought leadership.
- Share useful learning, data best practice and fresh insight with the wider team and agency.
What you’ll bring:
- A degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in data analytics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, marketing, research, communications or a related field.
- Experience in data analysis, research, reporting or marketing analytics; agency, media, advertising, digital or related-sector experience is advantageous.
- Strong ability to source, structure, analyse and interpret data from varied datasets and platforms.
- Confidence creating clear data visualisations and translating findings into accessible reports and presentations.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Brandwatch, GWI, Similarweb, Screaming Frog, SEMrush, AWR or comparable research, audience and analytics tools is beneficial. Hands-on experience using social listening and insight platforms such as Brandwatch and Sprout Social.
- Well versed in GA4, Google Search Console, Tag Manager and digital channel data including websites, e-commerce, paid media, social media, email and CRM is beneficial. Deep understanding of CRM data and tools, such as Hubspot, MailChimp, Everlytic, Insider or comparable tools is advantageous.
- Practical experience with SQL, Python, R or other data-manipulation tools would be a significant advantage.
- Strong Excel capability; experience with Power BI, Looker Studio or similar visualisation tools would be advantageous. Tableau or comparable dashboarding tools is welcomed.
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools with strong prompt engineering skills, able to craft effective prompts to drive efficient, high-quality outputs.
- Excellent analytical thinking, data interpretation and attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal and visual storytelling skills, with confidence in developing and presenting client-ready decks.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability and commitment to data integrity.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex analysis to non-technical audiences.
Who you are
- Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable managing multiple workstreams.
- Curious, analytical and motivated by finding the story behind the numbers.
- Proactive about learning new tools, methodologies and industry developments.
- Comfortable working at pace and delivering high-quality work under deadline pressure.
- A collaborative team player who can also take ownership of tasks independently.
