Engineering Supervisor

Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape. You will be responsible for supervising maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of operational and mechanical tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Implement operational plans to achieve team objectives in coordination with other departments.
• Supervise daily activities, providing guidance, coaching, and on-the-job training to ensure maintenance meets required standards.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules, statutory inspections, and audits with internal and external service providers.
• Oversee the execution of planned and unplanned mechanical repairs, inspections, and installations.
• Gather, verify, and record technical and maintenance data accurately.
• Identify improvement opportunities, contribute ideas, and participate in problem-solving discussions.
• Enforce compliance with safety, health, environmental, and disciplinary standards.
• Conduct safety meetings and address hazardous conditions promptly.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Valid Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical)
• N3 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
• 5 years’ experience working within the mining industry
• 3 years’ working as a supervisor
• Valid Driver’s License
