MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• A National Diploma / Bachelor Degree in Commerce or equivalent, preferably with majors in Accounting, Management Accounting, Economics or Auditing
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Computer Literate
• Knowledge of spreadsheet applications

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

The incumbent will be exposed to some of the following disciplines within the Budget and Treasury Department:

• Financial and Performance reporting;
• Budgetary planning
• Expenditure and Revenue Management;
• Asset Management
• Risk Management / Internal Auditing
• Supply Chain / Procurement Management
• Communication and Implementation of the Municipal Finance Management Act
• All other finance related functions
