Role summary

We’re looking for an experienced finance professional to lead budgeting and management reporting for a well-established retail group, providing the insight their leadership team needs to make confident decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
• Compile monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
• Analyse financial performance against budget and prior periods.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Maintain and improve budgeting and reporting templates and models.
• Support department heads with budget planning and cost control.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Ensure reporting deadlines are consistently met.

Minimum requirements

• Relevant finance/accounting qualification (degree/diploma; SAIPA/CIMA advantageous).
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in budgeting, management accounting, or financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP system experience advantageous.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
