General Worker (N1N4 Toll Highway)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills: 

• Grade 10.
• Technical qualification will be advantageous.
• At least 1-year related experience.
• Oral and written communication in English.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Road maintenance knowledge.
• Physically fit to move objects.

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Provide traffic accommodation to safeguard motorists and the work team on site during any road works that take place.
• Paint marking on the road, which has deteriorated, including lines, letters, and symbols using water or solvent based paints. This includes handwork and machine work.
• Install reflective glass beads in the painted lines and remove damaged studs, repair new road studs and install new road studs.
• Ensure site clearing and carting to dump all debris.
• Cut trees, road signs, and dig holes for road furniture posts and repair guard rails and barriers.
• Wash and clean company vehicles and equipment.
• Complete stock taking at the store as and when required.
• Comply with the OHS act by ensuring safe work
  practices.
