1. Facilities Officer
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing company-owned and leased facilities.
- Coordinating preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Managing contractors and maintenance budgets.
- Administering lease agreements.
- Conducting facility inspections.
- Managing company assets.
- Ensuring Occupational Health and Safety compliance.
- Managing CCTV, alarms and access control systems.
- Overseeing cleaning contracts and utilities.
- Managing minor renovations and refurbishment projects.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12.
- National Diploma or Degree in:
- Facilities Management
- Property
- Building
- Construction Management
- Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' Facilities Management experience.
- Contractor and budget management experience.
- Valid Code B Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Advantage:
- Project Management qualification.
- Occupational Health and Safety qualification.
2. Skilled Handyman (2 Posts)
Responsibilities
Successful candidates will:
- Perform electrical fault-finding.
- Install and repair electrical systems.
- Maintain generators and critical infrastructure.
- Carry out plumbing, carpentry, painting and roofing repairs.
- Conduct preventative maintenance.
- Attend emergency breakdowns.
- Supervise contractors.
- Ensure compliance with OHS standards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12 or Technical Trade qualification.
- Electrical Trade Test (Compulsory).
- Minimum 5 years' maintenance experience.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Valid Code B Driver's Licence.
Advantage:
- Wireman's Licence.
3. Semi-Skilled Handyman
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Perform basic building repairs.
- Assist Skilled Handymen.
- Conduct painting and carpentry repairs.
- Assist with plumbing repairs.
- Support electrical maintenance.
- Maintain workshops and maintenance stores.
- Load and transport tools and equipment.
- Assist with emergency maintenance.
- Complete maintenance job cards.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Grade 12.
- Minimum 2 years' building maintenance experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge.
- Willingness to travel between company sites.
Advantage:
- NQF Level 2–4 qualification in:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Building Maintenance
- Driver's Licence.
