Integrated Advice Specialist: Insure

A well-established insurance company is looking for an Integrated Advice Specialist: Insure to play a key role in driving the development, integration, and optimisation of insurance advice solutions within a dynamic financial services environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Support teams on key initiatives and new projects

  • Own and drive key features and requirements to successfully deliver the Insure Advice Process development and project epics

  • Work closely with the Head: Integrated Advice and Head: Digital Advice (Insure) to finalise specifications with developers

  • Prepare presentations on feature development and epic progress for reporting purposes

  • Translate engineering requirements into clear development specifications

  • Work closely with engineering teams, interpreting engineering artefacts into development specifications

  • Manage project reporting by analysing data, structuring insights and identifying opportunities for business process improvements

  • Coordinate engagement sessions between business units to integrate processes successfully

  • Coordinate development activities within sprints alongside developers

  • Assist in aligning activities to deliver the Insure Advice Process strategy and project direction

  • Coordinate and maintain engineering documentation, providing regular updates

  • Work with Business Analysts and testers (pre- and post-development) to ensure accuracy and quality of development

  • Build strong project understanding and contribute to solution design through experience and collaboration

  • Prepare training material for new developments and enhancements

  • Draft marketing collateral for feature-based launches of the digital advice tool

  • Train Relationship Managers and advisers when specialist resources are not available

  • Conform to the Target Operating Model ways of working

  • Collaborate with internal divisions on strategic projects and system integrations

  • Prepare communications, reports and presentations to management and advisers relating to the 6-Step Advice process and tools

  • Assist with troubleshooting errors reported by users on the advice process

  • Coordinate and drive prioritised development enhancements raised by relevant committees

Requirements 

  • BEng Degree

  • 1+ years’ experience in financial services

  • Relevant experience within a financial advisory environment

  • Engineering qualification

  • Experience developing tools to support financial advice

  • Insurance industry knowledge

  • Strong understanding of insurance products and the South African insurance landscape

  • Knowledge of South African financial regulatory frameworks

  • Understanding of Financial Planning principles aligned with the 6-Step Advice process

  • Exposure to working directly with financial advisers

  • Willingness to travel within South Africa when required

  • Excellent ability to translate engineering requirements into system solutions with strong client experience focus

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
