IT Manager

A South African private commercial radio station based in Cape Town is seeking a proactive, experienced, and dedicated IT Manager to oversee all non-studio technological operations at their station.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the office and on-air network and connectivity, ensuring high performance and reliable operation across the station.

• Implement and maintain measures to ensure stability and speedy downtime recovery for all critical IT systems.

• Develop, maintain, and test the Risk Plan and Disaster Recovery (DR) Plan to minimize service interruption.

• Ensure all staff are adequately equipped from a software and hardware perspective, managing inventory and deployment.

• Provide timely and effective support to ensure staff are supported when problems occur, acting as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues.

• Manage the security of the office environment (excluding physical security of the building), implementing best practices to protect data and systems.

• Oversee and manage access control for internal systems and applications.

• Manage technical resources and support services, optimizing their utilization.

• Manage relationships with vendors/suppliers for hardware, software, and external support services, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality solutions.

• Manage the technical budget, tracking expenditures and planning for future needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• A relevant certificate or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar IT management or senior support role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
