Requirement
- 9+ years' professional software development experience
- Strong commercial Java development experience
- Strong experience with spring boot / spring framework
- Proven experience developing backend services and APIs
- Strong understanding of system design and software architecture
- Experience designing and developing scalable, highly available distributed systems
- Strong understanding of microservices and/or service-oriented architectures
- Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging and asynchronous processing
- Strong database design and data modelling experience
- Experience working with cloud-based environments and modern development practices
- Experience developing frontend applications using React, TypeScript and/or JavaScript
- Strong understanding of API design, application security and authentication
- Experience working within Agile engineering teams
- Comfortable working on complex technical problems with a high degree of autonomy
Data and infrastructure
- PostgreSQL / MySQL or similar relational databases
- Redis / caching
- NoSQL technologies advantageous
- Docker
- Kubernetes advantageous
- AWS / Azure / GCP
- CI/CD
- Monitoring, logging and observability
Reference number for this position is GZ61510 which is a permanent remote position offering a salary of R1.5m per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
