Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for a Junior Geologist (Resource Geology) to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with geological data collection, validation, and management to support resource estimation activities.
- Support the creation and updating of geological and resource models under supervision.
- Participate in basic geological modelling, interpretation, and wireframing using industry-standard software.
- Assist with drilling data review, geological logging, sampling, and QA/QC processes.
- Contribute to grade estimation and resource reconciliation activities as required.
- Maintain accurate geological databases and documentation in line with company standards.
- Assist in the preparation of geological reports, presentations, and technical summaries.
- Work closely with senior geologists and mine planning teams to support resource-related projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- BSc Hons Degree in Geology
- 3 years’ experience as a Junior Geologist within the mining industry
- Must have experience/exposure in Resource Geology
- Valid Driver’s License
