Junior Maintenance/Operations Leader

A leading property investment company is looking for an experienced Junior Maintenance / Operations Leader with strong experience in general building maintenance and contractor coordination to join their industrial team in Johannesburg. This is a hands-on, field-based role focused on ensuring the effective upkeep and day-to-day operational functionality of multiple industrial properties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general maintenance across a portfolio of industrial buildings

• Conduct regular site visits to inspect building conditions

• Monitor and verify contractor work on-site and ensure tenant satisfaction

• Follow up with contractors to ensure work is completed timeously and to standard

• Obtain and manage quotes for services such as security for upcoming vacancies

• Ensure vacant and occupied buildings are maintained to acceptable standards

• Spend the majority of the workday on-site across various buildings

Requirements:

• Overall understanding of general building maintenance

• Experience in a junior maintenance management or operational management role

• Ability to manage contractors and coordinate maintenance activities

• Must have own reliable transport

• Willingness to travel between sites daily

• Practical, hands-on approach with strong follow-up skills
