Role overview

Persuade is looking for a junior-level Virtual Assistant to support inbound lead handling, basic client coordination, and internal operations.

This role is suited to someone early in their career who is organised, reliable, and comfortable speaking to people on the phone. You will not be doing cold calling, sales closing, or strategy.

The role starts with internal support tasks and gradually expands into client-facing responsibilities once you are fully trained and trusted.

Internal Operations and Execution
  • Post daily updates in Slack
  • Keep internal communication organised and up to date
  • Follow up internally when actions are pending


Google Workspace (G Suite) Management

  • Organise Google Drive folders
  • Upload, name, and maintain files correctly
  • Keep onboarding documents and spreadsheets clean and updated


Content Machine Support

  • Load content into our internal content automation system
  • Follow clear instructions to add inputs and prompts
  • Trigger content generation and sending
  • Check outputs for basic errors before sending
  • Track what content has been added and sent

No writing from scratch. No strategy. Pure execution.

Inbound Lead Handling (Primary Responsibility)
  • Call inbound leads only (Facebook Ads, Google Ads, website forms)
  • Respond quickly to new leads
  • Ask basic qualification questions
  • Book demos directly into the CEO’s calendar
  • Follow up with no-shows and reschedule
  • No cold calling. No outbound prospecting.


Client Coordination and Onboarding

  • Book onboarding calls with new clients
  • Collect onboarding information and assets
  • Follow up with clients for missing details
  • Keep onboarding information organised


Client Updates and Basic Reporting

  • Send simple weekly or monthly updates to clients
  • Update basic reporting spreadsheets or dashboards
  • Flag issues or delays to the CEO


Light Client Support

  • Handle basic client questions (non-technical)
  • Schedule meetings when requested
  • Escalate anything complex to the CEO


What This Role Is NOT

  • No cold calling
  • No sales closing
  • No campaign strategy
  • No copywriting
  • No technical setup
  • This is a junior support and coordination role, not a senior client success or sales role.

Requirements

  • Good spoken and written English
  • Comfortable speaking to people on the phone
  • Basic computer skills (Google Docs, Sheets, email, calendars)
  • Organised and detail-oriented
  • Reliable internet and quiet working environment
  • Able to follow processes and checklists

Compensation

  • R9,000 – R11,000 per month (depending on experience)
  • Starting salary typically R9,000
  • Salary review after probation period

Expected CTC per month with comm R15 000 and incentives.
