Lead: Marketing Operations (Johannesburg)

Job description

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Honours degree in Management Sciences or Social Sciences, or another relevant field

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Communications/Public Relations

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Marketing

• Extensive experience in a professional services or legal services environment

• Experience managing a large team

• Extensive communications experience 

• Experience managing the entire marketing value chain (digital, events, comms, PR and brand)

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the firm’s brand and reputation strategy

• Manage external marketing communications, including crisis communications, PR, and social media

• Create external marketing and communications campaigns aligned with the firm’s objectives

• Enhance the central marketing communications team capability to support business development with integrated campaigns

• Develop and implement thought leadership content and activities

• Manage digital channels and shape social media strategy

• Collaborate with BD managers on positioning and messaging for practice and sector groups

• Develop procedures for effective collaboration between Marketing Communications and Business Development

• Partner with Knowledge Management to create client and market-facing materials such as handbooks, updates, and training

• Lead improvement of marketing materials such as capability statements, pitch templates, deal lists, website and press content

• Plan and coordinate the firm’s annual communications schedule

• Set communication goals and requirements for sectors, practice groups, and product/service offerings
