A leading mid-tier mining company is currently looking for a to join their team in Centurion, Gauteng!
Responsibilities:
Mechanical engineering design may include, but is not limited to:
- Prepare plant layouts
- Conveyor design
- Chute design
- Selecting suitable materials handling equipment
- Design of structures and mechanical equipment in the mining industry
- Hydraulic/Pneumatic design will be an advantage
- Transform concepts into working designs
- Oversee site installations
- Commissioning of new installations
- Attend site meetings to understand system requirements
- Manage and co-ordinate contract draughtsmen and engineering consultants
- Make sure quality and safety standards are adhered to and integrated into the design
Requirements:
- BEng/BSc Degree in Mechanical engineering
- 7 years’ experience in materials handling & mechanical design in an engineering projects environment
- Experience laying out processing plants
- Experience in structural and mechanical design
- Experience in design with CAD software (3 years) (SolidWorks)
