Model Validation Analyst (Johannesburg)

The role:

As a Model Validation Analyst, you’ll be the guardian of our models—challenging, validating, and monitoring them to ensure they’re reliable, robust, and transparent. You’ll work across credit risk, marketing, and other predictive models, collaborating closely with technical and business teams.

What we’re looking for:

• Education: Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Data Science (Honours is a bonus!)
• Experience: 3 to 6 years in scorecard development, validation, and monitoring (credit risk, application/ behaviour models, or marketing)

Skills:

• Data mining for analysis and predictive modelling
• Strong understanding of the credit lifecycle
• Sharp analytical mind with attention to detail
• Ability to tackle multiple model types and thrive in a collaborative environment
