We are Mustard Seed. We are real people building unreal brands from our studio in Stellenbosch. We value high momentum, decisive execution, and a friendly working environment. Right now, we are looking for a craft-led Multimedia Designer who can match our velocity and elevate our output.

You are a creative thinker who moves seamlessly across digital and other platforms, understanding the specific mechanics of every social channel. You design with quiet confidence, creating agile, human-centred experiences that turn raw brand strategy into meaningful visual impact.

You’ll be doing things like:

• Thinking. Designing. Executing. Funning.
• Rolling out campaign creative into every format imaginable (And making it look good!)
• Creating social media content that trips up thumbs.
• Editing short-form video and building reels/TikToks. (The people want video so this is not a nice-to-have, it’s a must-have.)
• Keeping brand CI tight, clean and consistent across all platforms.
• Create presentation decks to showcase work.
• Exporting, naming, and organising files like someone who has made peace with adulting.
• Collaborating with our creative director, copywriters, other designers and social team.

You bring:

• 3–5 years’ experience in a studio or agency.
• A portfolio that demonstrates your understanding of design across various print collateral, social media, and the ability to deliver strong video and reel content.
• A strong understanding of best practice interaction and visual design principles
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Eagerness to participate in brainstorms and conceptualisation.
• A digital-first brain that knows what works for each platform.
• The mental fortitude to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Time management skills that let you work fast and keep things beautiful.
• A good vibe and a sense of humour.

Skills need to include the mastering of:

• Adobe Creative Suite (all the usual suspects)
• After Effects and/or Premiere Pro
• KeyNote/PowerPoint
