Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Operations Duty Manager who thrives in a busy, customer-facing environment. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with strong operational insight, a commitment to excellence and the ability to make quick, effective decisions. You’ll have a proven track record in hospitality or retail management and a passion for delivering outstanding service.
What you will doIn this role, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all departments. You will act as the key point of contact during your shift, maintaining high standards of service, safety and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing and coordinating all operational activities on site
- Monitoring service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Managing and supporting staff to ensure consistent performance
- Handling guest queries, complaints and operational issues effectively
- Enforcing company policies, health, safety and compliance standards
- Supporting management in achieving operational and business goals
What you need
- Matric (grade 12)
- 3-Year hotel school diploma or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the hospitality or retail industry
- At least 3 years in a management role
- Previous duty management experience is advantageous
- Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- A proactive, guest-focused approach and the ability to perform under pressure
