Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join their mining company based in Zambia. You will be responsible for leading mining and processing operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant execution of production and business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mining and processing teams, ensuring effective resource allocation and operational execution.
- Oversee compliance with legislation, company standards, safety, environmental, and governance requirements.
- Manage relationships with regulators, community stakeholders, and strategic partners.
- Develop, implement, and review production, maintenance, and optimisation strategies aligned to business plans.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives, knowledge transfer, and operational ownership culture.
- Manage capital projects, operational budgets, and reporting requirements.
- Ensure performance management, training, communication, and disciplinary processes are effectively executed.
Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Metallurgical Engineer/Mining Engineering
- 8 years’ experience in the Copper environment
- 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial role
- Must have previous EXPAT experience
