A leading Mining Services organisation is looking to appoint a skilled Payroll Specialist with solid end-to-end payroll expertise and familiarity with core HR administrative tasks. This is a fully onsite position based in Germiston, working closely with the Finance Department and a Payroll Clerk responsible for timekeeping. The role manages payroll for roughly 150–200 employees and provides additional HR support where required.

Responsibilities

  • Full end-to-end payroll processing on Sage

  • Monthly payroll calculations and statutory submissions

  • Printing and distributing payslips

  • Managing leave, benefits, and UIF processes

  • Ensuring payroll compliance and accurate employee data management

  • Assisting with HR administration and documentation

  • Supporting employee onboarding and maintaining personnel records

  • Providing HR-related guidance when required

  • Attending company hearings when necessary

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years payroll experience (Sage experience required)

  • Proven experience managing payroll for 150–200 employees

  • Payroll Certificate or BCom Degree in HR (essential)

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Willing and able to work onsite full-time
