The Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa (BCCSA), which operates as a non-statutory, self-regulatory body, responsible for ensuring compliance by members with the relevant and applicable Codes in respect of broadcasting content on television, radio and online, invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for the following position:
- Job title: Registrar – full-time
- Salary: R 600 000 – R 650 000 per year, to be fixed commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Report directly to the Chairperson of the BCCSA
- Manage the administration of the office of the BCCSA under the supervision of the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson of the BCCSA.
- Provide high level administrative and organisational support to the Commission.
- Coordinate meetings, hearings and adjudicative processes in line with the Codes of Conduct, Procedure and Constitution of the BCCSA.
- Direct and manage complaints received from the public in accordance with the BCCSA Procedure.
- Draft, review, and manage official correspondence, reports and records.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including broadcasters, legal representatives and the public, with appropriate professionalism and due discretion.

Requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Administration, Law, or Communications.
- At least 7–10 years’ experience in senior administrative roles, preferably within a regulatory or legal environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and uphold impartiality in a regulatory context.
- Prudent financial management
