Resource Geologist

Description:
Hire Resolve’s client is currently looking for a Resource Geologist to be based in North-West. As a Resource Geologist you will be responsible for overseeing mineral resource estimation, modelling, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate mineral resource models using geological, assay, and geostatistical data
• Oversee data integrity and quality assurance/control (QA/QC) protocols for geological data
• Collaborate with mine planning, exploration, and metallurgical teams to align resource models with operational goals
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to geology and resource estimation teams
• Review and approve resource statements for internal and external reporting
• Conduct geological risk assessments and contribute to strategic mine planning
• Evaluate and implement new software and techniques to improve resource modeling accuracy
• Support exploration targeting by integrating resource data with geological interpretation
• Prepare and present resource updates to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• BSc Hons Degree in Geology
• 5 years’ experience as a Resource Geologist within an Underground mining environment
• Registered with SACNASP and GSSA
• Knowledge on Geological Software (Datamine & Surpac)
• Experience with geological mapping, drilling, and resource estimation.
