Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for an experienced Safety Officer to join their mining company based in Limpopo. You will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out workplace safety inspections, investigating incidents and accidents, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations, and driving the implementation of health and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular workplace safety inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents and accidents to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and awareness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management review.
Requirements:
- Grade 12
- SAMTRAC or COMSOC 1 & 2
- Blasting Certificate for Scheduled Mines/Rock Breaking Certificate
- Diploma in Safety Management
- 3 years’ experience as Safety Officer within an underground mining environment
- Valid Driver’s License
