Requirements to Pursue SAICA Articles

• Location: Candidates must currently be based in the Western Cape/Stellenbosch region.

• Minimum Education: A completed SAICA-accredited undergraduate degree (BCom Accounting or equivalent).

• CTA Status: Candidates who have completed or are currently enrolled in CTA (Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting) will be highly considered.

• Academic Record: A strong academic transcript is essential.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; bilingual skills are a significant advantage.

• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit & Assurance: Assist in the planning and execution of external audits across various industries.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS for SMEs.

• Taxation: Assist with the calculation and submission of various statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax).

• Governance: Evaluate and test internal control environments for clients.

• Compliance: Maintain high ethical standards and adhere to SAICA’s training regulations and competencies.
