Position Summary: Security Official x12

The main purpose of the role is to protect and safeguard SARB personnel, facilities and assets at the Head Office in Pretoria.

Key duties include:
• Access and egress control
• Guarding, patrolling and escorting
• Responding to security threats and emergencies
• Monitoring security systems and equipment
• Conducting evacuations and emergency drills
• Report writing and completing occurrence books
• Ensuring compliance with firearms legislation and NKP regulations

Shift work, including weekends, is required.

Short Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, you must have:

• Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
• PSIRA Grade C qualification
• Firearm competency (9mm pistol, semi-automatic rifle and shotgun)
• 2–5 years security experience
• Knowledge of NKP Act, Firearms Control Act and Criminal Procedure Act
• Physical and medical fitness
• Ability to work shifts
