Senior Full Stack Developer (Cape Town)

Technical requirements:

• PHP (Symfony & Laravel)
• Strong Object-Oriented Programming principles
• React, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js
• ElectronJS (including versioning and upgrades)
• CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker)
• Git (GitHub / Assembla)
• RESTful APIs and SQL databases
• Cloud platforms: Azure & AWS
• Image and audio processing (e.g. ffmpeg)
• SDKs for image recognition and manipulation
• Exposure to Three.js or Seriously.js (advantageous)

Experience:

• 3+ years full-stack development experience
• Strong production experience with PHP and JavaScript frameworks
• Proven ability to design and consume REST APIs and scalable architectures
• Hands-on Agile experience with CI/CD and cloud platforms

Key responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and manage servers on Microsoft Azure
• Work with complex Symfony and Laravel backend systems
• Maintain and extend ReactJS and ElectronJS applications
• Plan and coordinate development activities with the Head of Development
• Deliver accurate time and effort estimations
• Build and manage client-facing applications across multiple brands
