Must-have skills and experience:
- Java certification – advantageous
- AWS certification – advantageous
- Well rounded Developer with 8+ years’ solid development experience
- Back-end and full stack Development
- Experience directing AI coding agents (e.g. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor) as part of the development workflow
Strong advantages:
- Java
- NodeJS
- Typescript
- Python
- PostgreSQL
- MySQL
Advantageous skills:
- AWS
- Solid understanding of RESTful API development
- Experience with version control using Git
Reference number for this position is GZ61531 which is a permanent position based in Pretoria offering a salary of R1.08m per annum, negotiable based on experience and ability.
