Hire Resolve’s client is urgently seeking the expertise of a Senior Resident Engineer / Planning Engineer, to be involved in a sought-after project in Zambia
Key Requirements:
- +20 years’ experience with vast experience in hydropower and dam projects
- BSc. / B.Eng. in Civil Engineering or higher
- Prior experience working in Sub-Saharan Africa
Duties include:
- Liaise with Chief RE
- Instruct the contractor about planning aspects of the work on site
- Assist with verifying the inclusion of all dam safety monitoring aspects in the planning process
- Revise of the contractors planning and preparation of schedules for control of the site activities
- Identify risks and develop risk mitigation plans
- Responsible to evaluate compliance with the work program on site
- Carry out and make weekly update of the holistic work program of the project
- Report to the Project Service Manager
- Collect weekly schedule reports
- Prepare monthly summary
- Preparation of payment certificates and liaise with Resident QS
