SEO Specialist (Cape Town)

Job description

Outsourced CFO is searching for a forward-thinking SEO Specialist to drive our organic growth by improving search engine visibility and attracting high-quality inbound leads.
​This is not a traditional SEO role. In addition to standard optimization, you will be responsible for driving visibility so that AI platforms and Large Language Models (LLMs) naturally reference our brand for relevant queries. You will implement on-page strategies, produce high-quality copy, and collaborate with our Content and Web teams to ensure our brand voice is consistent and search-friendly.

Key Responsibilities

SEO Strategy and AI Optimisation

• Conduct keyword research and develop comprehensive SEO roadmaps.
• Optimize content and digital presence specifically to ensure the brand is suggested by AI and LLMs.
• Coordinate technical SEO requirements with the Website Developer.

Content Creation and Copywriting

• Produce and optimize SEO-friendly blogs, landing pages, and social media captions.
• Ensure all content aligns with the brand tone, drives engagement, and positions the brand as a trusted reference.

Performance Tracking and Analysis

• Monitor search rankings, website traffic, user engagement, and specific AI mentions.
• Produce monthly reports with insights and recommendations to maximize brand visibility.
• Track competitor performance to identify market trends and strategic opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or related field
• Certifications in SEO or digital marketing are beneficial.

Minimum Experience

• 3–5 years managing SEO strategy, content optimization and copywriting
• Experience working with CMS platforms, analytics tools, and social media content is required.

Specific skills

• Strong copywriting experience is essential.
• Proven ability to improve organic search visibility and drive high-quality leads.
