Standards and Risk Officer

Hire Resolve’s Client is urgently looking for a Standards and Risk Officer to be based at a mine in the North West!

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with Sections 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
• Facilitate issue-based risk assessments and integrate outcomes into baseline risk assessments.
• Assist in developing strategies to identify and evaluate operational risks and controls.
• Manage risk escalation, maintain risk registers, and align procedures with changes.
• Oversee change management and communicate updates to relevant departments.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Safety Management
• Blasting Certificate or Trade Certificate
• 3 years’ experience as Safety Officer or Risk Officer in a mining environment
• Valid Driver’s License
