Job description
As part of the establishment of its new Rustenburg City Campus, STADIO Higher Education invites applications for two Student Recruitment and Registration Officer positions. The successful candidates will play an important role in introducing prospective students to STADIO, supporting them through the application and registration journey, and contributing to the achievement of the campus’s student recruitment objectives.
Assumption date: 4 January 2027
Purpose of the roles:
The student recruitment and registration officer will support the achievement of campus student recruitment and registration targets by engaging with prospective students, generating and managing leads, and guiding applicants through the application, admission and registration process.
The role will build relationships with schools and other stakeholders, support recruitment activities, provide programme and career guidance, and ensure that applications and registrations are processed accurately and efficiently. The successful candidates will contribute to delivering a professional, responsive and student-centred experience in line with STADIO’s standards and processes.
Key roles and responsibilities
Marketing and brand support:
- Maintain current knowledge of STADIO’s qualifications, programmes, processes and student offering.
- Ensure that STADIO’s messaging, brand identity and value proposition are accurately reflected in recruitment activities.
- Support the implementation of the campus marketing action plan.
- Assist with school engagement initiatives, campus recruitment events, open days and promotional activities.
- Represent STADIO professionally and consistently at all recruitment activities.
Student recruitment and target achievement:
- Support the implementation of the campus student recruitment action plan.
- Contributes to the achievement of agreed application and registration targets.
- Meet agreed recruitment activity, lead-generation and conversion targets.
- Monitor progress against weekly, monthly and annual recruitment objectives.
- Conduct consultations and follow-up engagements with prospective students.
School engagement and lead generation:
- Build and maintain effective relationships with secondary schools within the targeted region.
- Secure opportunities for school presentations, career guidance engagements and recruitment activities.
- Deliver accurate and engaging school presentations in accordance with approved standards.
- Generate and capture prospective students leads accurately and promptly.
- Maintain a current database of schools and school contacts.
- Attend and track appropriate exhibitions, open days, career fairs and promotional events.
Career guidance and prospective student support
- Qualify prospective student leads received from various sources.
- Provide accurate career advice and programme guidance to prospective students.
- Support prospective students throughout the application, admission and registration process.
- Follow up with prospective students in accordance with STADIO’s service standards.
- Conduct email and SMS campaigns to communicate relevant information.
- Track applicants to ensure that fees and required documentation are completed.
- Provide consistent, professional and high-quality prospective student experience.
Applications, registration and administration
- Review and quality-assure application and registration documentation.
- Track outstanding documents and follow up with applicants where necessary.
- Deal with all students’ administrative queries.
- Ensure that supporting documentation is correctly captured and uploaded for registration purposes.
- Maintain accurate and current information on the customer relation management (CRM) system and relevant student information management systems (SIMS).
- Capture leads and recruitment activities accurately and within required timelines.
- Apply CRM sales processes to support accurate recruitment reporting and live-data analysis.
- Complete and quality assure all required registration processors within the SIMS systems
- Complete all recruitment and administration processors accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Minimum qualifications and experience
Qualifications:
- Matric or an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant tertiary education qualification.
Experience:
- Three to five years’ experience in student recruitment within the private higher education sector.
- Experience in a contact-learning or distance-learning environment, or a combination of both.
- Practical experience in prospective student engagement, lead management, career guidance, applications and registrations would be advantageous.
Knowledge, skills and competencies:
- Knowledge of the private higher education landscape in South Africa.
- Knowledge of private higher education marketing, student recruitment and registration processes.
- Understanding recruitment, sales and registration processes.
- Student recruitment, lead-management and CRM capability.
- Strong presentation, communication, networking and personal-selling skills.
