Job description

Traffic Manager / Marketing Operations
On-site | George, Western Cape

Great marketing needs great ideas. It also needs someone who can make sure those ideas get delivered.
At Honeyguide, we're looking for a Traffic Manager / Marketing Operations professional who loves bringing order to moving parts.
You’ll sit at the heart of our marketing operation, connecting people, priorities, projects and deadlines so that great work moves smoothly from brief to delivery.
If you're the person who spots the bottleneck before it becomes a problem, knows when priorities need challenging and gets genuine satisfaction from seeing a busy workflow come together, this could be your kind of role.

About the role:

  • Your purpose is simple: help our marketing teams do their best work, on time and with clarity around what happens next.
  • You'll manage the flow of marketing projects and campaigns across creative, content, digital, PR and events, coordinating everything from incoming briefs and resource allocation to timelines, approvals and final delivery.

You'll work closely with stakeholders and the wider marketing team to:

  • Manage incoming marketing briefs and prioritise work according to business needs.
  • Plan schedules and allocate work while keeping a close eye on team capacity.
  • Coordinate multiple marketing projects and campaigns from brief through to delivery.
  • Keep timelines, actions, dependencies and approvals moving.
  • Facilitate traffic and planning meetings that create clarity rather than more meetings.
  • Spot risks, delays and resource conflicts early — and do something about them.
  • Coordinate brand, product and legal approval workflows.
  • Maintain accurate project and workflow information so stakeholders know where things stand.
  • Improve processes, reporting and visibility across marketing.
  • Explore practical ways to use AI, automation and productivity tools to reduce manual work and make our workflows smarter.
  • Success in this role means campaigns landing when they should, workloads being managed realistically, stakeholders staying informed and less friction standing between a great brief and great delivery.

About you:

  • You're an organiser, but you're not just an organiser.
  • You can look at ten competing priorities and work out what genuinely needs to happen first. You're comfortable having constructive conversations when timelines aren't realistic, and you don't wait until a deadline has been missed before raising a concern.

You'll bring in terms of experience and qualification:

  • A relevant post matric qualification (Certificate, Higher Certificate, Diploma or Degree) in Project Management, Marketing, Business Management or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Relevant experience in traffic management, marketing operations, project coordination, project management, campaign coordination or a similar workflow-driven environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders at the same time.
  • Strong scheduling, prioritisation and project coordination skills.
  • Practical experience working with project, task or workflow management systems.
  • An understanding of resource allocation, workload or capacity planning.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • The confidence to identify bottlenecks, resolve problems and escalate when needed.
  • A proactive mindset and an interest in improving the way work gets done.
  • Experience within an agency, in-house marketing team, insurance or another fast-moving delivery environment would be useful — but insurance experience isn't essential.
  • A relevant qualification in Project Management, Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field is advantageous, but we value demonstrated capability and relevant experience too.

Why join us?

  • We believe in focus, resilience, tenacity, relationships andd, and this is a role where you'll get to put all five into practice.
  • You'll work across different marketing disciplines, interact with a wide range of stakeholders and have genuine scope to influence how work flows through the department, not simply administer what's already there.
  • We're also serious about continuous improvement. If you see a smarter way to structure a workflow, improve visibility, automate repetitive work or help the team collaborate better, we want you to bring that thinking to the table.
  • Ultimately, our purpose is about providing our world with Soft Landings, and Marketing plays an important part in delivering the clear, effective and customer-focused experience behind that promise.

Ready to keep great work moving?

If you're a Traffic Manager, Marketing Operations Professional, Project Manager or Project Coordinator who thrives on bringing people, priorities and deadlines together, we'd like to hear from you.
Apply and help us turn busy into beautifully organised.
