About the Programme

The Transnet WIL Trainee Programme is intended to provide recently qualified apprentices with practical workplace experience.

Participants will have the opportunity to apply their academic, vocational and practical knowledge in a real-world working environment while gaining exposure to industry-specific tasks and workplace expectations.

The programme includes hands-on training, mentorship and practical experience over a period of 24 months.

What You Will Do

As a Work Integrated Technical Learner – Carpentry, your duties will include:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting problems.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable safety regulations.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition.
• Documenting work performed.
• Reporting completed work and issues to supervisors.

What You Need to Succeed
