Collins Chabane Municipality: Bursary / Scholarship Programme 2026

Closing Date: 14 January 2026 at 16H30

Applicants are hereby invited from disadvantaged families who qualify as INDIGENT HOUSEHOLDS and who intend to pursue different fields of study at tertiary institutions throughout the Republic of South Africa. The bursary will only cover the registration fees. Applicants are invited from matriculants, and the targeted fields of study are as follows:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Town Planning
  • Information Technology
  • Commerce (Financial Management, Internal Audit, Risk Management, Economics,)
  • Law

Completed application forms must be accompanied by the following documents:

  • Certified copy of ID / Birth certificates of both applicant and parents
  • Certified proof of income of both parents
  • Certified copy of matric results
  • Proof of registration at tertiary institution
  • Proof of residence within Councillors / Traditional leaders(Indunas)
  • Motivation letter

How to Apply

Application forms are obtainable from HR’s Office, Registry Office, and the office of the Mayor, Saselamani Satelite Office, Vuwani Satelite Office, Njhakanjhaka Hall at Hlanganani. Enquries should be directed to the Senior Manager Corparate Services at (015) 851 0110 during office hours. Application forms can be downloaded on the municipal website: www.collinschabane.gov.za and can also be requested on the following WhatsApp numbers: +27 (72) 684-9954 and +27(66) 477-9695.

Applications must be sent to: The Municipal Manager, hand delivered to Collins Chabane Municipality, 225 Collins Chabane Dr, Old DCO Building, Malamulele. NB: Faxed or e-mailed applications and those without the relevant supporting documents will be automatically disqualified.

The closing date for submission of the application will be 14 January 2026 at 16H30. No late applications will be accepted. Applicants who do not hear from the municipality within 30 days after the closing date should consider their applications unsuccessful.
