Digital Marketing Assistant (Cape Town)

Job description

Our clients seeks to appoint a a temporary Digital Marketing Assistant on a 3 month fixed-term contract to support the marketing and communications function, with a strong emphasis on digital platforms. The role will focus on assisting with social media execution, website content updates and general marketing support to ensure brand consistency and regular digital activity.

This role is suited to a pro-active and detail-oriented individual with an interest in digital marketing and content management.

Key Responsibilities

Key Deliverables

• A consistent and maintained social media posting schedule.
• Updated and accurate website content.
• Professionally formatted marketing and communications materials.
• Improved turnaround times for digital marketing execution tasks.

Digital and Social Media Support

• Assist in developing and maintaining a structured social media content calendar.
• Draft, schedule and prepare regular social media posts for platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram.
• Source, format and prepare visual and written content in line with the brand’s guidelines.
• Support basic tracking of social media activity and engagement.

Website Support

• Assist with updating and revising content on the website.
• Ensure website information is current, accurate and aligned with brand messaging.
• Liaise with internal staff to gather updated information for digital platforms.

Marketing and Administrative Support

• Assist with formatting marketing and communications documents.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing function.
• Support ad hoc digital and marketing-related tasks as required.

Requirements

• Relevant digital marketing qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years solid digital and social media support experience.
• This is a 3 month fixed term (in-office) contract – must be available to commence the contract with immediate effect and MUST RESIDE in Cape Town.
