Description:

Job purpose : Deliver all customer orders safely, AS per the invoice and on time

Requirements :

A minimum of Grade 12
Valid unendorsed Code 10 and / or Code 14 Driver?s license with a PDP is an inherent requirement of the job
A minimum of 1 year?s driving experience
Mechanical knowledge is required to change tyres, lightbulbs and to attend to other basic maintenance of the vehicle
Proficiency in English, Xhosa and Afrikaans would be advantageous
The incumbent is required to work in temperatures ranging from 0 ?C to -18 ?C
All Drivers are required to familiarize themselves with the company?s Motor
Vehicle Policy and to accept, in writing, the stipulations thereof
Results required :

Maintain vehicle housekeeping at the required standard at all times
Always abide with the National Road Traffic Act Regulations
Maintain fuel efficient driving practices
Monitor and report on any mechanical failures, problems or defects on the vehicle immediately
Delivering customer orders accurately, as per invoice
Build strong relationships with customers? receiving staff
Daily collection of Chep pallets at customers and suppliers and ensure that the physical quantity corresponds
with the Chep notes

Provide a daily debriefing when returning to the depot
Maintain strict adherence to the company?s Motor Vehicle Policy
Ensure that the truck is up to a suitable standard, including, but not limited to tyres, engine management,
services, fridge units, load bodies, suspension components.

Ensure that all the vehicle licenses are up to date
Ensure that your Drivers? Licenses and PDP always remain up to date.
Keep the vehicle logbook up to date daily
Record all issues regarding customers and / or routes and escalate to the relevant parties immediately
