EL IDZ: Graduate / Internship Programme 2026

The East London Industrial Development Zone SOC Ltd is a State-Owned Corporation set up by government through the South African Industrial Development Zones Programme (now the South African Special Economic Zones Programme) to develop, operate and maintain modern infrastructure and to complementary attract strategic investments for the region.
The East London IDZ is looking for interns to be exposed in the following fields for a period of up to 24 months subject to the conditions of the internship agreement to be signed after appointment:

| Science and Technology Park: Laboratory [x3] M+ 3 Qualification in Microbiology / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Food Technology |
| Science and Technology Park: Design Centre [x1] M+3 Qualification in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Electrical Engineering |

Other Requirements:
- Relevant studies must have been completed.
- South African citizen (preference will be given to applicants from Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality).
- The ELIDZ is committed to giving preference to suitably qualified persons with Disabilities in the relevant respective areas of the internship.
- You must not be studying full-time.
- You must be unemployed.
- You must not have relevant experience pertaining to your field of study
- You must not have participated in any other internship programme.
- Preference will be given to top performers academically.
- You must be between the ages of 18 – 35 years.
