STIPEND: R 271, 04 per day
DURATION: Six (06) Months Fixed Term Contract

The Makana Municipality invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the under-mentioned position based in Makhanda Alicedale & Riebeek East. Makana Local Municipality in partnership with Department of Forestry Fisheries and Environment hereby invites applications from suitable qualified unemployed graduates to participate in the following programme: –

Waste Management [x4]

Horticulture [x4]

Climate Change [x3]

Occupational Health and Safety [x3]

Human Resources Management [x2]

Financial Management [x2]

Public Administration [x2]

Requirements: –

• A recognized Degree / Diploma in Environmental Management / Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Financial Management, Human Resources, Public Administration or equivalent.
• Knowledge of environmental legislation with a focus to local government; understanding of local government and its relationship with national and provincial spheres of government.
• Must be a South African citizen in possession of a valid South African ID document.
• Applicants must be under the age of 35 years and must be medically fit.
