Print Shop Manager (Durban)

Job description

Colour Domain Printing is looking for an enthusiastic, driven individual to join our busy print shop in Durban North
The Print Shop Manager will oversee the daily production, staff, and operations of the print shop, ensuring jobs are delivered on time and meet quality standards. 
Core Focus will be to manage the print workflow, equipment upkeep, team supervision and client relations. 
Primarily reporting to the owner. 

Key responsibilities: 
Manage workflows: 
Set-up a workflow that ensure jobs are tracked from request to delivery, maintaining quality standards and turnaround times. 

Equipment maintenance: 
Monitor digital equipment, troubleshooting and coordinating repairs

Inventory and procurment:
Track stocks and order as necessary. 

Team management:
Manage staff
Assist with hiring & training staff

Safety and compliance:
Ensure shop floor safety protocols, machine safeguards and clean workplace standards are followed. 

Manage key clients:
Manage end to end key clients printing requirements

Requirements

• Ideal for an experienced individual from a print shop enviroment
• Strong leadership skills, including team building, conflict resoluction and delegations capabilities
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Exceptional organisational skills 
• Strong Adobe Illustrator skills
• Working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign
• Experience preparing accurate, print-ready artwork
• Previous print-shop, signage or production experience
• The confidence to advise customers and recommend print solutions
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• The ability to manage several jobs and priorities independently
