Warehouse and Setup Manager (Randburg)

The Warehouse and Setup Manager will oversee the coordination, management, and execution of event setups and breakdowns while managing all marketing and event collateral entering and exiting the warehouse. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operational efficiency and accuracy at every event while maintaining warehouse organisation and inventory control.

Key responsibilities:
Warehouse management:

• Manage the inflow and outflow of all event-related collateral, ensuring accurate recording and tracking.
• Maintain inventory accuracy, organizing stock systematically and efficiently.
• Conduct regular audits of collateral to monitor condition, availability, and reorder requirements.
• Ensure the warehouse remains organized, clean, and compliant with safety regulations at all times.

Event setup and breakdown:

• Plan, oversee, and actively manage event setups and breakdowns.
• Ensure all necessary collateral and materials are accurately prepared, packed, transported, and set up according to event specifications.
• Supervise teams during setups, ensuring adherence to timelines, standards, and safety guidelines.

Team management:

• Lead, train, and develop warehouse and setup teams to optimise efficiency and performance.
• Schedule staff according to event calendars, ensuring adequate coverage for each event.
• Foster a positive, productive work environment focused on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Coordination and communication:

• Liaise regularly with the operations team and event managers to ensure smooth coordination of resources and accurate execution of event plans.
• Communicate proactively with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams regarding inventory needs, discrepancies, or issues.

Health and safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the warehouse and during event setups.
• Regularly review and update safety practices, conduct training, and implement measures to mitigate risks.

Skills:

• Proven experience in warehouse and event setup management, preferably in the marketing or events sector, with a minimum of 5 years experience.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Competent in inventory management systems and standard office software.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual tasks and extended hours during event setups and breakdowns.
