A leading wholesale and manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join their team in Sandton. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute professional to oversee all financial reporting, management accounts, and internal controls to ensure compliance and support accurate financial management. If you have a BCom Accounting degree, over five years of experience, and a strong background in financial accounting or auditing, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and comprehensive financial reports.
- Oversee all reconciliations and journals to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure full compliance with accounting policies, standards, and regulations.
- Support external audits and manage tax submissions.
- Supervise and mentor finance clerks and accountants.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
- Analyse financial data to provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- A degree in Accounting or a similar field.
- Articles from a professional accounting body (e.g., SAIPA or SAICA).
- At least 5 years of experience in financial accounting or auditing.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Previous experience in the distribution or manufacturing sectors.
